In my last blog I have shown from the scriptures that God The Father is the only true God and therefore, He can not be one of the persons of Trinity. Bible declares that The Father is a Spirit:
Joh 4:23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall
worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. 24
God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
He is invisible and no man has seen Him:
Joh 1:18
No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.
1Ti 1:17 Now unto the King eternal, immortal,
invisible, the only wise
God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.
If God The Father is the only true God then Who is Lord Jesus Christ?
Bible says that God was manifest in the flesh........
1Ti 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness:
God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
Scripture also speaks of Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh:
1Jo 4:2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that
Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
We have learnt that The Father is God a Spirit and we also read scriptures clearly teaching us God was manifested in the flesh /Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. Let's see what it means.
Let's read Heb 9:16-17:
Heb 9:16
For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator. 17 For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth.
Heb 9:16 clearly teaches that where a testament(covenant) is, there must also of necessity be the death of 'THE TESTATOR'. Who is The Testator or who made the covenant? The Bible declares that The One Who made the covenant is God Almighty:
Ge 17:1 And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him,
I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect. 2 And
I will make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly.
What is this covenant?:
Ge 17:4 As for me, behold,
my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations. 5 Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee. 6 And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee. 7 And
I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations
for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee.
It was an everlasting covenant to Abraham and his seed. This is explained in the New Testament:
Ga 3:29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.
It is an everlasting covenant God made with Abraham, the father of nations. But in order to bring this covenant into effect, The Testator must die. But how can God who is Spirit can die unless He manifests Himself in the flesh? That's what Heb 9:16-17 shows us:
Heb 9:16
For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator. 17 For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth.
Notice also what the previous verse 15 teaches us:
Heb 9:15 And for this cause
he(Christ) is the mediator of the new testament,
that by means of death,
for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.
Heb 9:17 For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth. 18 Whereupon neither the first testament was dedicated without blood.
Christ is the Mediator of the New Testament by means of death for the transgressions that were under the First Testament so that the chosen receive the promise of eternal inheritance. Did you get that? Without blood the Testament can not be brought into effect. That's the reason The First Testament was dedicated with the blood of animals shadowing the death of the Testator, who is God Himself:
Heb 9:18 Whereupon
neither the first testament was dedicated without blood.Heb 9:19 For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all the people, 20 Saying,
This is the blood of the testament which God hath enjoined unto you.
The Testator is Almighty God (The Father) Himself because He is The Creator and Redeemer:
Isa 63:16 Doubtless thou art our father, though Abraham be ignorant of us, and Israel acknowledge us not: thou,
O LORD, art our father, our redeemer; thy name is from everlasting.
Isa 64:8 But now,
O LORD, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand.
It is this LORD (YHWH), The Father -(Creator and Redeemer) who says that there is no god before Him and no god after Him and that He created all alone:
Isa 44:24 Thus saith
the LORD, thy redeemer, and he that formed thee from the womb,
I am the LORD that maketh all things; that stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that spreadeth abroad the earth
by myself;
No god before Him or after Him:
Isa 43:10 Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and
understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.
Isa 44:8 Fear ye not, neither be afraid: have not I told thee from that time, and have declared it? ye are even my witnesses.
Is there a God beside me? yea, there is no God; I know not any.
We have seen that the Father is the Testator and Heb 9:16 teaches us that in order for the Testament to be confirmed there is a need for the death of The Testator. We definitely see that The Testament was made effective by the death of our Lord Jesus Christ which shows us that He is The Testator Himself:
Heb 9:15 And for this cause
he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance. 16
For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator.
Jesus Christ is the same God who made the Testament in the OT:
Heb 9:17 For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth. 18 Whereupon neither the first testament was dedicated without blood. 19 For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all the people, 20 Saying,
This is the blood of the testament which God hath enjoined unto you.
This definitely proves that Jesus Christ is same God The Father who was manifested in the flesh.
In Trinitarian economy, God The Father and God The Holy Spirit did not come in the flesh nor die. Only the 2nd person of Trinity came in the flesh and died. This theory is senseless because it means that the 1st and the 3rd person of Trinity weren't Testators. According to Heb 9:16 the Testator has to die. This proves that tri-personal God economy doesn't work.
We saw that there there is only One God The Father throught both OT and NT. We saw that God was manifest in the flesh - in the person of Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, to those who don't recognize the identity of Jesus Christ here is the rebuke from the Lord Himself:
Joh 8:19 Then said they unto him, Where is thy Father? Jesus answered, Ye neither know me, nor my Father:
if ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also.
Joh 8:24 I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins:
for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.
Apostle Thomas recognized Him after His resurrection but not as one of the persons of alleged Trinity:
Joh 20:28 And Thomas answered and said unto him,
My Lord and my God.
He was prophesied Son of God:
Isa 9:6
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and
his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor,
The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
Do you believe in the testimony of scriptures that God is One or you believe in a tri-personal god lie?
